Squirrel Appreciation Day of Play


Today's a great day to pay homage to our furry friend the squirrel on Squirrel Appreciation Day.


Begin the day by making a squirrel from a paper brown bag, construction paper and of course googly eyes.  Read it again mom shares the details.

Next, sing the fun Grey Squirrel song and shake your bushy tail.

Felt Egg Carton Squirrels


Egg carton cups are painted brown with brown squirrelly felt pieces glued on to make these cute little squirrels from spoonful.  They recommend creating 3 and hiding acorns underneath for the classic find the acorn game.

Squirrel Feeders


Got squirrels?  They'll do just about anything to get at a bird feeder.  Surprise them with this feeder that's just for them and it's super simple to make.  Just wrap a slinky through a pipe cleaner, stuff with their favorite peanuts, and hang from a tree.  They'll love it.  Find all of the details at kiwi crate.
